The name says trucking and that is only half of it. Most days are dirt.
There is no HR department here and no dispatcher between you and the person making the call. Levi owns it, prices it, and is usually the one on the machine next to you. That cuts both ways: nobody is going to hide behind a process, and nobody is going to shield you from a hard day either.
We are fully insured and we run legal. The work is outdoors and the weather runs the schedule — some weeks are long, and a wet stretch stops a job whether anybody likes it or not.
Excavator, dozer or skid steer, with real hours behind you. You know what a grade is, you know why a trench box matters, and you can work near a line without holding your breath.
No experience required and no pretending otherwise. Chainsaw, shovel, pipe, spotting, cleanup. Show up, work, watch the machine — that is how most operators around here started.
Our own tandems and our own lowboy. A CDL is worth money here, and somebody who can move the iron as well as run it is worth more than somebody who can only do one.
If none of those is exactly you but you can do the work, call anyway. A short conversation settles it faster than a form would.

Dirt work across central Illinois — ponds, drainage and field tile, demolition, land clearing, driveways, site prep and hauling. Most days are within an hour of Mattoon and the crew goes home at night. It is outdoor work, it is seasonal in the sense that weather runs the schedule, and no two weeks look the same.
For a seat, yes — we want somebody who has run an excavator, a dozer or a skid steer for real and knows what they are doing around a trench and a grade. For ground work, no. If you show up, work, and pay attention, the machine time comes later.
